Am I better to get Joomla or Xsitepro?

Question:

Hi, James. Thanks for sending on the latest lesson. I do have a question: I was about to order XSitePro (from you), but a domainer has told me that a better option than an editor is to use Joomla or WordPress on a host that uses these applications.

He says that editors result in static sites that takes ages to get ranking results, whereas the Joomla/WordPress method gets them in a few days. I'm disappointed about this because, apart from anything else, my preliminary investigation of Joomla shows it to be quite beyond my current skills, while my daughter (a techie) has had to install my impending WordPress blog for me on her own host, so  I did find it hard to understand.

Maybe I shouldn't be asking you about this, since you\'re selling XSitePro, but what is your opinion of this person's advice?

Answer:

Static sites can rank much better than dynamic sites. Many hi ranked sites are static - I have plenty of them. Dynamic sites are great for traffic and indexing fast. My XSP Cheat Sheet bonus teaches you how to combine them together. Installing a wordpress blog on the samedomain as your static site so that you can have the best of both worlds. You can still have a static site indexed very fast.

Xsitepro is MUCH easier to use than the other programs.

I use all of them, xsitepro, dreamweaver, wordpress, online site-builders but I still tend to use xsitepro for my main money sites. I think ultimately a combination works best. Check the high rankings in google for my static sites for these search terms:

The best thing is you will be able to do it all by yourself.

I support clients! Regards, James
